Al-Otaibi held talks with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani in the capital Tehran on Monday.
The Kuwaiti official hailed the neighborly policy pursued by the administration of Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi, and expressed hope that the policy helps promote regional cooperation and boost stability and security in the region.
Al-Otaibi and Bagheri Kani discussed Iran-Kuwait relations and the two countries’ cooperation on regional and international issues as well.
Iran and Saudi Arabia announced the resumption of their ties on March 10, 2023 under a deal brokered by China, agreeing to open embassies within two months.
